Terms of service
These terms apply to purchases from Cheytori Art Studio (UK) (cheytori.com). Contact: hello@cheytori.com. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
1. Products
- We mainly sell digital illustrations: ready-made downloads and custom commissions (pet, quirky idea, Blind-Box Character Portrait, Illustrated Commission (queue)). We don't normally sell physical items, but if you'd like something extra, such as a print or a paper original, email hello@cheytori.com. A paper original of the Illustrated Commission (queue) is quoted separately and depends on the artist's willingness.
- Ready-made downloads are for personal use only.
2. Custom commissions: style and brief
- Each artist has a different style. Please look at the sample images on each product page.
- Please tell us your requirements before work begins.
- Pet and quirky idea commissions: the line sketch is provided on request; tell us if you want to see it.
- Blind-Box Character Portrait: tell us your character's setting, how you imagine them and any reference images. We match you with an artist at random, so the style depends on the artist. You get a sketch and line art first.
- Guest artist (Illustrated Commission (queue)): provides a line sketch and the final artwork. Refunds follow these stages (see section 8A).
- Dimensions vary by artwork. Tell us in advance about any required pixel dimensions, aspect ratio and colour preferences.
3. Payment and turnaround
- Custom orders must be paid in full before work begins.
- Standard commissions (pet, quirky idea, Blind-Box Character Portrait) are completed within 5 days after we receive both payment and a complete brief.
- The Illustrated Commission (queue) follows its own queue (see section 8A).
4. Rush service
- Our standard commissions, including the Blind-Box Character Portrait, offer a rush option at a higher price, shown on each custom product page.
- Only one rush order is available per day; email hello@cheytori.com first to check availability and wait for confirmation before paying.
- Rush time starts once your slot and brief are confirmed.
5. Usage licences and copyright
- Commercial use and buyout prices are listed in the product options for standard commissions that offer them; otherwise please email us for a quote.
- Copyright remains with the artist and is not transferred.
- For commercial use of a Blind-Box Character Portrait, email us for a quote.
- For the Illustrated Commission (queue), see section 8A.
6. Source files
- Editable source files can be added to a buyout for an extra charge; they are not available with personal or commercial use.
- The native working format is agreed in advance.
7. Revisions
- For standard commissions, one minor revision is included.
- If the artwork does not follow your agreed brief, we will correct it free of charge.
8. Cancellations and refunds
For standard commissions (pet, quirky idea, Blind-Box Character Portrait):
- Before work begins: cancel for a full refund.
- Early start: if you expressly ask us to start work during your cancellation period, a cancellation charge may apply to cover work already completed.
- After completion: once the artwork is completed as agreed, refunds for a change of mind are not offered where your legal cancellation right has ended.
- See our Refund Policy for full details.
8A. Illustrated Commission (queue)
Our guest artist's Illustrated Commission has its own queue, stages (draft, line art, final), rush and cancellation terms. Our guest artist provides a line sketch and the final artwork, and refunds follow these stages. They are shown on its product page and in section 3 of our Refund Policy, and replace sections 3, 4, 7 and 8 for that commission.
- Queue. Your order joins our artist's booking queue. The estimated start date is shown on the product page. Dates are estimates, not guarantees.
- Cancel while queued. If you cancel before the artist starts, we keep a 15% booking fee for the time we held for you. The rest is refunded.
- After work starts. Our guest artist provides a line sketch and the final artwork. The artist is paid by stage, and refunds follow the progress stage. If you cancel after the draft is finished, we keep 50% of the price. After the line art is finished, we keep 85%. After the final artwork is delivered, no refund is available.
- Changes. You can request reasonable changes at each stage. If changes repeatedly go against what you already approved, we may end the commission and the stage fees above apply.
- Rush orders. Rush (x2 or x3) is a separate option with an extra fee. Rush slots are opened separately from the standard queue. The extra rush fee is non-refundable once we confirm your slot. The base price follows the stage rules above.
- Long waits. If we have not started your order within 60 days after the estimated start date (so by the end of April 2027 for standard orders), you can cancel for a full refund.
- Faulty work. If the work does not match the agreed brief, we will fix it or refund you as required by law.
- Usage. All options are for personal use only. Commercial use or a full buyout is quoted case by case. Please contact us. Sections 5 and 6 do not apply to this commission. Copyright remains with the artist.
- Delivery. The artwork is delivered digitally. If you'd like the paper original, email hello@cheytori.com; it is quoted separately and depends on the artist's willingness.
9. Files and downloads
- If you have a problem with a file or download, email hello@cheytori.com and we will repair or resend it free of charge.
- If we cannot fix a fault, or a mismatch with the description or agreed brief, your statutory remedies remain available, including a refund where applicable.
- Downloading a file does not, by itself, remove your legal rights.
10. Statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
